BIO:

Dewy Rose Capital Ventures (Dewy Rose) focuses on stimulating economic development within the real estate and entrepreneurial arenas. Internally this is achieved by concentrating on three objectives: (1) acquiring real estate that produces positive cash flow, (2) creating an economic development investment fund and (3) developing a “seed stage capital” business incubator.

Our underlying goal is to create and assist in creating viable projects and businesses that increase entrepreneurship, enhance real estate value, generate employment opportunities and enhance the overall economic stability of communities. Dewy Rose has met and will continue to meet these objectives by working closely with state and local governments, non-profit organizations, real estate professionals, economic development entities, community development organizations, investment firms, small business incubators and entrepreneurs.

Dewy Rose is able to utilize its network of professionals within various industries to compile project specific teams. These partners include: marketing experts, strategic planners, creative thinkers, accountants, financial analysts, writers, real estate professionals, entrepreneurs, media participants, investors, banking professionals, technology consultants and non-profit experts.

Brent Oglesby, the founder of Dewy Rose, has been able to leverage his connections, experience and professionalism to provide demand for consulting services as well. Much of this demand stems from the years of training, experience and relationships that have been personally developed while working within settings that required customized financial modeling and analytics. These consulting relationships have allowed Dewy Rose with becoming connected to various organizations and opportunities which result in long term mutually beneficial relationships.

Tom Gallgher’s bio:

Tom currently holds the position of President for Belle City Toastmaster Club 1477 for the 2010/2011 year. He has attained the first step in the Toastmasters learning process, completing the Competent Communicator (CC) Manual. He also performs duties as the club Web Master.

 In September of 2010, he retired from the Naval Health Clinic, Great Lakes, IL where he was the command Information Assurance Manager (IAM). He was in charge of all matters related to the security of their entire computer system. He was also heavily involved with this same aspect for the integration of the Naval Health Clinic with the North Chicago Veterans Administration Medical Center which happened on October 1, 2010. Had he not retried he would have become the Deputy, Information Security Officer for the newly created Federal Health Care Center (FHCC) in North Chicago. This was the first time a merger of two different Federal Agencies, Department of the Navy and Department of Veterans Affairs, was attempted with the intention of saving costs of healthcare provided to our country’s active duty military and veterans. Previosly, he held the position of Network Operations Manager for the Naval Health Clinic for about three years and before that was the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the Naval Dental Center, Great Lakes, IL for four years. He retired with over nineteen years of Federal service. He has also worked in the private sector in Information Technology for Boeing Company, Interactive Business Systems, Inc. and Lockeed Martin- IMS before joining the Federal Government.

In another career field, architecture, he worked as a draftsman for several architectural and engineering firms in the Milwaukee area. He has also had several years of experience in other aspects of the construction industry.

Currently, he and a long time friend are in the process of starting a new business in consulting. This new business will take advantage of both of their varied experiences in healthcare and is focused on providing consulting services to other Federal Agencies considering joining forces.

He is also a retired veteran with over twenty three years of military service, in three differnet branches. He started with the US Navy active duty for six year in submarines where he received his first computer training. He then had a nine year break in service and joined the US Air Force, Reserves, Civil Engineering Squadron and completed four years of service. He then transferred to the US Coast Guard, Reserves where he worked in port security for another four years. He then transferred back to the US Navy, Reserves and spent 3 years with the Sea Bee’s. He then had another break in service of seven years before re-joining the US Air Force, Reserves, Civil Engineering Squadron and completing another six plus years of service before retiring.

Tom holds a Bachlor’s degree in Architectural Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Master’s degree in Computer Resourses and Information Management from Webster University in St. Louis, MO.

He is married to Betty and they have one daughter, Julie, and two grandsons, Derek and Zachary.
